The 6th MSA ECR Membrane Symposium will be held from 30 January to 1 February 2019, at the University of Melbourne, Australia. The symposium is Australia’s premier symposium for membrane scientists and engineers in the early stages of their career. The purpose of the symposium is to offer a platform for exchanging ideas and thoughts, as well as developing career and scientific communication skills. Early Career Researchers and PhD students are invited to submit abstracts and join us for a wide range of Keynote presentations delivered by industry experts and renowned membrane scientists and engineers, career development and science communication workshops, as well as discussion forums and networking opportunities.
The theme of this symposium is ‘Addressing the Food-Water-Energy Nexus through Innovations and Advances in Membrane Materials and Processes’. The following topics will be covered:

- Gas and vapor separation
- Wastewater treatment
- Membrane fouling
- Resource recovery
- Membrane bioreactors
- Energy conversion and storage
- Membrane applications in mining, agriculture, food and beverage industry
