Short Bio

Wojciech Kujawski ([email protected]) was graduated from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (Poland) where he defended also Ph.D. Thesis. He prepared his habilitation theses both in Poland (DSc, 2008) and in France (HDR, 2011). He has also spent more than 2 years as visiting scholar and visiting professor in France (1987-2012), Spain (2008), and USA (2013). Faculty Member at Faculty of Chemistry, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (Head of the Chair of Physical Chemistry and Physical Chemistry of Polymers. President of Polish Membrane Society (2015-2018). Research professional with over 30 years of experience in education, research, and cooperation with diverse external companies. His main research interest is focused on the fundamental research of membrane separation processes (e.g. pervaporation, membrane distillation, thermopervaporation, ultra- and nanofiltration), membranes in food processing, ionic liquids for task specific processes, ion-exchange membranes, bio-polymers, fossil and bio-fuels, as well as the modification and functionalization of polymeric and ceramic membranes.. Author and coauthor of over 120 papers (Scopus) and over 150 conference contributions (CI=1800 /without self-citations/, h=28). He cooperates with several research groups around the world. Organizer of series of conferences on Pervaporation, Vapor Permeation and Membrane Distillation.
